A Warm Environment, Curiosity, and Socialization
First, The Child Series
First, The Child is a blog series developed by FPPK to explore the school’s progressive approach to education. The following article in this series explores the school’s overarching mission to inspire children to learn, explore, and work in harmony with others.
Engaging Your Child While Imparting Social Skills
FPPK is designed to be a warm, caring environment that puts children and their parents at ease, builds trust, nurtures independence, and promotes self-confidence. With these standards in place, a child becomes receptive to learning.
Our classrooms are developmentally appropriate for children ages 2 to Kindergarten. We spark a child’s curiosity by creating a learning environment that encourages exploration, play, and group collaboration. The benefits include socialization and the establishment of a respectful, harmonious environment.
We help young children navigate their emotions and impulses through encouraging group interactions. By creating a warm, caring, respectful environment, we help our children learn to navigate their place, understand that their world involves others, and practice compassion.
First Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten is a child-centered, family-driven school located on the beautiful grounds of the First Presbyterian Church in Englewood, New Jersey. Our nurturing program serves children age 2 to kindergarten age and is non-sectarian, meaning we do not provide religious instruction.
We offer each child the care and compassion they need to become confident and engaged lifelong learners. It's where they start that helps them finish. Learn more about giving your child the right start at FPPK School.
