FPPK Teacher Spotlight: Rachel Fenkel

Our Teacher Spotlight section highlights one of our dedicated teachers or staff members at FPPK.

In the bustling halls of FPPK, Rachel Fenkel serves as the Lead teacher for our vibrant 3-year-old class. With a rich background in preschool teaching, Rachel embodies the essence of excellence in early childhood education and brings her years of experience to benefit all students at FPPK.

Her Approach

Rachel's social/emotional approach to education allows her to connect deeply with and support her students. She understands that education is about imparting knowledge, instilling confidence, nurturing empathy, and fostering a lifelong love for learning. One of Rachel’s favorite parts of teaching is seeing firsthand the development of each child over the course of the year and supporting the new relationships they make while at school.

Experience

What sets Rachel apart is her academic background, professional experience, and dedication to the nurturing environment cultivated at FPPK. She appreciates and adds to our warm and friendly atmosphere.

Rachel earned a master's degree in education and taught in other preschools. She has also worked at different summer programs and camps with children of various ages.

“I enjoy teaching because working every day with young children brings something new and exciting,” Rachel said. I also enjoy working in a creative environment and planning different activities that help children develop new skills and a love for learning.”

Her Personal Life

Outside of the classroom, Rachel explores her creativity through art and various types of crafting. She also enjoys swimming and traveling with her family.
